Wroan Engineering and Technology Center
This fund was established by John L. Wroan III in 2007, in the name of his family, to be used for renovations at University High School, specifically to transform the Industrial Arts room into a state-of-the-art engineering/technology center. Since John graduated in 1945 to the time his construction firm won the bid to construct the University High School building in 1964, he has always been a strong advocate and supporter of the Laboratory Schools. The transformed wing of University High will serve students interested in learning graphic design, computer-assisted drafting, and other applied technology fields and will allow a greater variety and number of classes to be conducted at the school. John's firm also constructed Hancock Stadium at Illinois State.
