William E. and Nancy Froelich Endowment for Long Term Care
This endowment was established in 2003 by William and Nancy Froelich. As a funeral director and ambulance operator, William realized the need for a nursing home. He presented his idea for a comprehensive care facility to his first partners, and Heritage Nursing Home became the first full-service nursing home in Bloomington shortly thereafter. Nancy served on the Mennonite College of Nursing Board as vice president and then vice chairperson from 1983-1995. The funds are used to advance nursing in the long-term care setting. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. This endowment was established in 2003 by William and Nancy Froelich.
