Warren F. Craig Memorial Scholarship in COE
The Warren F. Craig Memorial Scholarship in the College of Education was established in memory of Warren F. Craig who was an educator for many years. Warren F. Craig was an educator and teacher, spending the majority of his career in Unit District 5 (Normal, IL) and retiring as the first Reading Coordinator for the district. Warren and his wife Joybelle strongly believed in education, equality, and cultural diversity. they were a host family for many ISU international students after he retired from teaching. Warren was "born and raised" in Fairbury, IL. After graduating from Fairbury High he followed in his father's footsteps and enrolled at Illinois State Normal University. His studies were interrupted by WW II, but after his Army service as a pharmacist's mate in Aleutian Islands he returned to finish his bachelor's degree at ISNU. He later obtained a Master's from the University of Illinois. Warren passed away in 2015 at the age of 94.
