The Marilyn Sams Memorial College of Education Scholarship
To establish a fund supporting scholarships for students pursing a degree in education. This scholarship was started to honor Marilyn Sams, (MS '87) a beloved educator for over 23 years who was known among her peers as the "science guru," receiving the Illinois Outstanding Science Teacher award in 1985-1986. Marilyn impacted so many students throughout her career, and her family were moved to create a legacy of the work Marilyn did as a consummate educator, lifelong learner, and supporter of future educators to succeed in the career Marilyn so dearly loved.
