The Joe McDonald Mathematics Student Success Fund

Established in memory of Joe McDonald, the fund honors his passion for teaching and his commitment to helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Fund Purpose: To provide financial assistance for students meeting the following criteria: Mathematics Tutoring Support: - Student Success Awards will be provided for the following term: Renewable Annual Award - Funding will support eligible undergraduate students majoring or minoring in Mathematics who are selected by the Department of Mathematics to serve as tutors in the Mathematics Tutoring Center. - Eligible tutors may include well-qualified sophomores, juniors, and seniors who meet the academic and selection criteria established by the Department of Mathematics. - Student demonstrates financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Textbook Assistance: - Student Success Awards will be awarded for the following term: Renewable Annual Award - Students who require assistance in obtaining required mathematics textbooks or course materials to support their academic success. - Student demonstrates financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
