Roy and Dorothy Hostettler Scholarship
The Roy and Dorothy Hostettler Endowed Scholarship was established in 2007 through a gift from the estate of Roy L. Hostettler. Roy L. Hostettler graduated from ISNU in 1941 with a bachelor's degree in social sciences education. He earned his master's degree from ISNU in 1947 in educational administration. Dorothy Jean (Wilson) Hostettler, who became his wife, graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1940 and later earned a masters degree from ISNU in 1958 in educational supervision. It is the wish of his sister, Barbara Beyer, executor of his estate, that this endowed scholarship be established in honor of Roy and Dorothy Hostettler, to provide financial support to young people planning to become teachers. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool.
