Richard and Julia Johnson Scholarship
This endowment was established by Richard and Julia Johnson in 2000. Richard Johnson served on the MCN Board of Trustees. The scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in Mennonite College of Nursing who is a graduate of a secondary school in McLean County and a member of an ethnic minority group. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. The Richard and Julia Johnson Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in Mennonite College of Nursing with a preference going to a person who: Is a first-generation college student, or Is a part of Mennonite College of Nursing's Dual Enrollment program with local community colleges, or Is a member of a registered student organization dedicated to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion, or Submits an essay (no more than one page) describing the importance of having diversity of backgrounds in nursing.
