Odessa Meyer Scholarship
The Odessa Meyer Trust was given to ISU Foundation to use for scholarships in the Department of Education Administration. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. Odessa Meyer was the first graduate in the educational administration post-master's program, earning the first specialist degree offered at Illinois State in 1964. Previously she had earned a two-year diploma in education in 1938. She also earned a B.S.E. in 1948 and an M.S.E. in 1955. The purpose of this scholarship, created for the Educational Administration and Foundations Department following her death in 1998, is to develop and support the scholarly excellence of EAF doctoral students from diverse groups.
