The applicant must be majoring in an area of specialization represented by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University. Mrs. Crane earned her bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences (formerly referred to as Home Economics) from ISU in 1946. She taught home economics in Highland and raised two daughters.
