Martin F. Duffy Scholarship
The Martin F. Duffy Scholarship was established in 2003 in memory of Martin F. Duffy, a 1979 graduate, by family, friends, and colleagues. Martin F. Duffy earned a bachelor's degree in English/Communication from Illinois State University in 1979. He started his own firm, I/D Communications, in 1987. Recognized for his ability to get things done on time, within budget and always with a smile in the fast-paced public relations world, he successfully led the company until his untimely death on November 3, 2002. It is the hope of the founding donors that Marty's legacy of integrity, impeccable professional standards, and enthusiasm for life can be honored and perpetuated by Duffy Scholarship Recipients. Their good work assures a proper tribute to their benefactor.
