Larry R. Miller Endowment for Servant-Leadership
Larry Miller became a faculty member in the Technology Department (formerly the Industrial Technology Department) in 1971. In 1983 he became the associate dean in the College of Applied Science and Technology. He lived his life as a servant leader. A servant leader involves others in decision making, helps others identify ways they can contribute to the good of the group, creates opportunities for success, motivates the team, provides constructive feedback, recognizes and rewards others, promotes positive relationships, and is willing to sacrifice for the common good. The purpose of this endowment is to promote awareness, understanding, and practice of servant leadership by students, faculty, and/or administrators.
