Jan Cook Scholarship

Under the leadership of Carol Chrisman, this endowment was established by colleagues and friends to honor Janet M. Cook in 2001. She was a founding member in the School of Information Technology, taught from 1968-1998, and was an expert on computer security. Each candidate must be enrolled full-time as an information technology major, have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours at ISU immediately prior to application for the scholarship, have earned at least six hours of information technology coursework (including one programming course), and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0/4.0. Preference will be given to women and minorities. Service as a volunteer campus or community committee member is also a consideration. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool.
