Holmes Scholar Fund

The Holmes Partnership, a national consortium of universities, is committed to improving the quality of schooling through research and development, and preparation of education career professionals. The purpose of this fund is to support ISU Holmes Scholars. The fund was initially established with gifts from alumni and friends of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Candidates must have: possession of outstanding credentials for graduate study; formal admission to a doctoral degree program in the College of Education in a school-related area of emphasis; membership in one of the following groups: African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native American, or other groups underrepresented on faculties of education. Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding records as K-12 teachers, potential for leadership in education, and plans to pursue a career in higher education. Assets of this endowment are invested in the ISU Endowment Investment Pool.
