Heidi Mullejans Scholarship in Education
The Heidi Mullejans Scholarship in Education was established from the Estate of Monica Hege, Daughter of Illinois State University Alum Heidi Mullejans. Heidi Mullejans received her BS degree in mathematics education in 1959 from Illinois State University. Heidi spent the majority of her career as a high school math teacher for Glenbrook South H.S. in Glenview, IL. She was a beloved and well-known teacher and worked there until her retirement in the 1990s. The scholarship supports students in two areas of study--Math Education sequence and/or Teacher Education, not limited to Math Education for students meeting the following criteria. The scholarship provides no less than $5,000 to a student in the Math Education sequence and no less than $1,500 to any Teacher Education major.
