Fell Hall Friends, Class of 1961 Endowed Teaching Scholarship Council for Teacher Education
The Fell Hall Friends, Class of 1961 Endowed Teaching Scholarship was established in 2009 as a restricted scholarship. As of June 30, 2012, the fund became endowed. It was established by a group of alumni who refer to themselves as the Fell Hall Friends. They all lived in Fell Hall during their time as students at Illinois State University. They all graduated with degrees in education and became teachers. They feel so strongly about the excellent education that they received here that they created this scholarship to provide financial assistance to students planning to enter the education field and become teachers. The Fell Hall Friends desire to create this scholarship as a lasting legacy and symbol of their belief in the University's commitment to excellence in education.
