Dr. Connie J. Ley Faculty Research Award in Family and Consumer Sciences
The Dr. Connie J. Ley Faculty Research Award in Family and Consumer Sciences, formerly called the Family and Consumer Sciences Faculty Research Award, was established in 1987 to provide a monetary award to a faculty member who has made a significant contribution to the department, the university, and the profession in family and consumer sciences through their research/scholarly activities. In 2019 the fund was renamed in honor of former Chair, Dr. Connie J. Ley, who was instrumental in the creation of this award. Connie served as Chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (formerly Home Economics) between 1984-1996.
