College of Applied Science and Technology General Fund
The College of Applied Science and Technology General Fund provides support for the the activities, programs and operations, including student scholarships, within the College.
Dr. Phebe M. Scott Endowment
The endowment was established in 2004 by friends and colleagues of Phebe M. Scott. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the professional development of women faculty members and women graduate students in the School of Kinesiology and Recreation and/or the Health Education Program within the Department of Health Sciences. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. The Dr. Phebe M. Scott Endowment was established in 2004 by friends and colleagues of Phebe M. Scott. The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for the professional development of faculty members and graduate students in the School of Kinesiology and Recreation and/or the Health Education Program within the Department of Health Sciences that encourage and promote the importance of women in the field of Kinesiology and Recreation.
Compeer Financial Classroom Fund
The Compeer Financial Classroom Fund was established to support the costs associated with renovations, including infrastructure, furniture, technology expenses, of the main classroom at the ISU Farm at Lexington.
CORE Construction Endowed Scholarship
The CORE Construction Endowed Scholarship was established in 2019 to provide financial assistance for students with a declared major in either Construction Management or Safety. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need who are a Central Illinois resident.
Hesterberg Family Student Persistence Fund
To establish an endowed fund providing financial assistance to students in the College of Applied Science and Technology experiencing temporary financial hardship. Awards are granted on a case-by-case basis pending the availability of funds.
The Walcott Family Scholarship
The Walcott Family Scholarship was established in July 2018 by Mark and Cavell Walcott. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide educational support to women who intend to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
The Bob and JoAnn Navarro Scholarship
The Bob and JoAnn Navarro Scholarship was established by Robert Navarro and Cassie Kohrt to honor their parents, Bob and JoAnn Navarro. It will be for a first-generation student (preferred) from LaSalle, Ogle, Winnebago or Will Counties. It can be for a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior. The scholarship will reside in the Dean's office and can be given to any who is a major in the College of Applied Science and Technology.
College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Student Scholarship Endowment
A maximum of $200 is awarded to undergraduate students to present the results of research at state, regional, or national conferences. Undergraduate students who have completed a research project under the direction of a member of the CAST faculty are eligible to participate in this program. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Student Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students to present the results of research at state, regional, or national conferences. Undergraduate students who have completed a research project under the direction of a member of the CAST faculty are eligible to participate in this program.

College of Applied Science and Technology Student Success Center
College of Applied Science and Technology Student Success Center will support CAST students through high-impact student success practices such as, targeted tutoring sessions, enhanced referral to existing campus support resources, opportunities to interact with professionals with similar backgrounds, and professional development in areas focused on relational and financial topics. The Student Success Center will also be dedicated to enhancing the individualized attention provided to CAST students, including our first-generation and underrepresented students, to improve their access to strategies that are proven to lead to retention, graduation, and upward mobility.
College of Applied Science and Technology Student Persistence Fund
The College of Applied Science and Technology Student Persistence Fund was established in 2019 with a transfer from the CAST General Fund. The fund was created to encourage and support deserving students in the College of Applied Science and Technology with demonstrated need and/or high academic achievement.
Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Scholarship
The Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives Scholarship was established in 2021 based on the founding donor's desire to support and promote the advancement of women and minorities in the applied sciences. Students enrolled in Construction Management or Occupational Safety and Health degree programs, who are at least at a sophomore level, are eligible to apply. Students must provide a personal statement describing how their life experiences have fostered an understanding of and commitment to the value of diversity as it relates to women and/or persons of color in business.
Endowment for CAST Global Scholars
The Endowment for CAST Global Scholars fund provides offers students who are majoring in CAST programs the opportunity to establish global awareness, enhance academic learning, develop leadership skills, experience personal growth, and learn another language/culture through studying in another country. CAST faculty may also be awarded scholarships to defray the cost of travel expenses related to international research or study abroad.
Dr. Elizabeth A. Chapman Scholarship
Dr. Elizabeth A. Chapman Scholarship was established in 2021. The scholarship supports an incoming freshman pursuing a degree from one of the programs in the College of Applied Science and Technology. Recipient must demonstrate involvement in leadership activities, civic engagement, and community service during high school.
College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) General Scholarship Fund
The purpose of this fund is to provide educational support to undergraduate and/or graduate students majoring in any degree program within the College of Applied Science and Technology. The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) General Scholarship Fund provides educational support to undergraduate and/or graduate students majoring in any degree program within the College of Applied Science and Technology.
Larry Miller Scholarship
This endowment was established in 1993 by the friends and family of Larry Miller as a memorial. The scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student who has completed at least 30 hours and is enrolled in a major within the College of Applied Science and Technology. The student should demonstrate characteristics reflective of Larry such as honesty, integrity, and high moral and ethical standards. Assets of this endowment are invested in the Illinois State University Endowment Investment Pool. The Larry Miller Scholarship was established in 1993 by the friends and family of Larry Miller as a memorial. Larry served at Illinois State from 1971 until his death in 1993. He was a teacher in the Industrial Technology Department and associate dean of Applied Science and Technology. The scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student who has completed at least 30 hours and is enrolled in a major within the College of Applied Science and Technology. The student should demonstrate characteristics reflective of Larry, such as honesty, integrity, and high moral and ethical standards.
