Redbirds Rising is supported by the National Campaign Committee, a dedicated group of volunteers with representation from throughout Illinois State and led by three co-chair couples. These volunteers help extend the reach of the University in promoting the campaign and communicating about the impact of philanthropic support, by engaging with prospective donors to encourage support of Illinois State, and providing advice and consulting with university leadership about aspects of the campaign.
Chester “Bud” Pulaski, ’69, M.A. ’73, Ed.D. ’86 and wife Judy Pulaski, ’69 have a soft spot for Illinois State University. It was, after all, the site of their blind date over 48 years ago—Bud’s last blind date and Judy’s first and only. The couple has chosen to honor the place that gave them their start with the establishment of the Pulaski Transfer Student Scholarship in Education.
