Tricia Widner Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Tricia Widner Johnson was a beloved faculty member in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University. Tricia passed away suddenly in 2011 at the relatively young age of 36, leaving behind a husband and three sons. Tricia was an associate professor, a wonderful teacher, an inspiring mentor, and an expert in the area of clothing and consumer behavior. She also served as the director of the Lois Jett Historical Costume Collection, obtaining software to catalog the collection, designing new storage facilities with temperature and humidity control, and working with students using it for their internship and independent study projects. Tricia also served as advisor to the Apparel, Merchandising, and Design Association's registered student organization and their annual fashion show. The love and admiration Tricia's students had for her led them to initiate this scholarship for students within the apparel, merchandising, and design sequence at ISU.
